WOW SHADOWLANDS: THE HORN OF GATHERING
in 2021, Blizzard was set to release its much-anticipated expansion to World of Warcraft, Shadowlands. But they were losing subscribers and lacked cultural energy. Enter the Horn of Gathering. A magical horn capable of gathering friends all over the world. And instagram.
To kick it off, we had Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, blow into the horn and call out to Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney over instagram. That call to arms continued on Sydney’s feed, where she grabbed her own horn to respond and invite the next celeb in a fellowship chain that spanned around the globe through 14 well-known celebs, influencers and gamers.
After a few days, we dropped an anthemic trailer using all the footage from their stories on the Warcraft’s social feed that inspired everyone to grab a horn, get their friend and jump in.

Then we started dropping Horns on people’s doorsteps.
And if you didn’t get one, we made a filter so you could sound your own horn, grab your friend and get playing.
